Doing it for the kids

Our Gabe only got his own room when we moved to The Tower at the end of last year. It was a total revelation to me, and to him too apparently because he magically started sleeping through the night.

I would love to be able to put all sorts of awesome art around his room so he had this inspiring environment to exist in... or some kind of developmental jargony thing... This is one of the reasons why I am so interested in children's illustrations.

some of my attempts

Would really love to get some bold coloured fairy tales, and typography type things. I don't really get the whole alphabet poster thing in the general sense (I know my abc's I don't really want them on my wall) but it makes more sense in a kids room.

Last Sunday Gabe was given a framed picture of Christ teaching some children which I thought was a great thing.

What kind of things do you have up in your kids rooms? What kind of things would you love to put up but can't find? Let's collaborate! (Let me poach your ideas!)

    1. Deal. I do remember that I still owe you one. You'll have to come back to Sydney to get it though!!

  2. Ooh I love them all, but especially like the birds on the swirly branches, (love swirly Tim Burton type stuff) the pirate ship is fantastic, love the frogs, the fish etc etc love them all. We have had pictures from our favourite children's books framed and hang on the wall.

I definitely think there is a market for framed paintings just like yours. It's simple, enticing and colourful, kids and adults will love them.
